The Magic of Aladdin

The students at North Delta Secondary School in Delta will soon put their amazing acting talents on the stage as they perform the classic story of Aladdin. I had the privilege to see them rehearse, as well as take a few photos recently, and their energy, enthusiasm and abundant talent means I definitely will not miss this performance, to take place between February 28 and March 2, 2012. What a Difference a Year Makes

It was my privilege to meet Emily one year ago as a newborn (see first picture)  and then to spend time photographing her with her parents 12 months later. This is what ‘thriving’ looks like! Emily is now running around, engaging eagerly with her toys and all the people around her, giving us so much promise of what is to come. Congratulations to Natalie and Scott, you are such excellent parents!

Jaclyn and Bobby at White Rock

Things happen in annual intervals for Jaclyn and Bobby. They bought their first house last year, got engaged this year and plan to be married next year. This summer, we got to return to the place where Bobby popped the question, the famous pier at White Rock. Our evening together had everything possible: a beautiful sunset, great light, a full moon and of course, the chance to spend the evening with a couple who are meant for each other. Here are a few of our many shots from the evening. We’re looking forward to next summer’s wedding!

Community Collaboration

Welcome to the first edition of the Double Exposure: Photography by Dad & Daughter blog!

We’ve been busy with many projects lately and we’d like to share a few here.

It’s great to be part of worthwhile community project and recently, through the Langley Camera Club, Dennis got to be part of a luncheon for Langley Senior Citizens served by Hall 6 of the Langley Firefighters. It was hard to tell who was having more fun, the firefighters or the seniors. A few photos are below as well as a slide show of the delicious and enjoyable event. This was the first collaboration between the Langley Meals on Wheels and the Township of Langley Fire Department and promises to be repeated. Catering, also part of the community collaboration, was provided by the Gateway of Hope.
